What KnowUV is
KnowUV turns a long destination into a short link or a dynamic QR code you can change after it has been printed, posted or handed out. Around that it gives you traffic routing, visitor gates, landing pages and per-visit analytics.
It is used for campaign tracking, printed QR codes on packaging and signage, A/B testing landing pages, gated content and lead capture.
- Editable destinations. Reprinting a QR code is expensive. Changing where it points is free.
- Traffic routing. Send one code to many destinations by weight or round-robin — A/B tests, load spreading, group rotation.
- Visitor gates. Password, SMS phone verification, geographic rules, crawler filtering, and view-count limits.
- Landing pages and forms. Host a page and capture leads without standing up a site.
- Analytics. Per-visit records — time, approximate location, device, browser, referrer.
- API. Create and manage links programmatically with a scoped account token.

Billing
Currency and tax. Prices are in US dollars and exclude VAT, GST and sales tax. The exact tax for your country is shown at checkout and added to the total.
Merchant of record. International plans are sold by Paddle.com Market Ltd, which acts as merchant of record — it handles checkout, tax and invoicing, and appears on your card statement as Paddle. Your use of the service is governed by our Terms of Service.
Renewal. Plans renew automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price. We give at least 30 days' notice before any price change, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
Cancelling. Cancel any time from your dashboard or by email. Cancellation stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Refunds. 14-day money-back guarantee on your first purchase, no questions asked. Full details, including how unused time is treated, are in the Refund Policy.
Questions people actually ask
What counts as a "link"? Each short link or dynamic QR code you create in a calendar month. Editing an existing link's destination does not count again — that is the point of the product.
What is a "tracked click"? One visitor arriving at one of your links. Automated crawler and bot traffic is filtered out and is not counted or billed. Visitors who are stopped by a gate — wrong password, failed phone verification — are not counted either.
What happens if I go over? Links over the monthly allowance are refused, and clicks over the ceiling are shown a limit page rather than your destination. Nothing is silently billed to you and you are never invoiced in arrears. Upgrade at any time and the new allowance applies immediately.
Why is there a daily ceiling as well as a monthly one? It is a fair-use guard against a single campaign consuming a month of capacity in an afternoon. It is set at roughly three times the daily average of the monthly allowance, so normal spikes pass. If a launch needs more headroom, ask us and we will raise it.
Can I use my own domain? Yes, from Starter upward. Point a CNAME at us and your links read go.yourbrand.com/abc123.
Do you offer a free trial of paid features? The Free plan does not expire, and the 14-day money-back guarantee means a paid plan is effectively risk-free to try.
Is there a discount for nonprofits or education? Yes — email us with SALES in the subject line.
About link review
Short links are attractive to people running phishing and malware campaigns, so every destination that is not already trusted is reviewed before the link resolves for anyone. Review is automated and usually finishes within minutes: we load the page in a sandbox, follow redirects, decode QR-code destinations and classify what renders.
This applies on every plan, paid included. It exists to keep KnowUV links trustworthy for the people who receive them — which is what makes them worth paying for. The full detail, including how to report a link and how to appeal a decision, is in the Acceptable Use Policy.
Regional pricing
Customers in mainland China are billed in RMB on a prepaid, pay-as-you-go model, settled through Alipay or WeChat Pay. See the Chinese pricing page. The plans above are the international offering.
